Is a tourist visa required for US citizens visiting Canada?American citizens can enter Canada without a visa for up to 180 days with a valid
passport. Except when travel is by air, a valid proof of
citizenship, such as a birth certificate, and a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, can substitute for a passport. However, we recommend that you bring your passport regardless.
Please note
that, while Canada does not require US citizens to present a
valid passport for entry, the United States does require a valid passport for
