Of the three major Washington, D.C. metropolitan area airports, Reagan National is the closest to downtown.  Reagan National Airport, which is close enough to see the Capitol and Washington Monument from the runway, offers an easy connection to downtown hotels and attractions by way of a Metro light rail station located adjacent to the terminal.  However, the selection of flights available to and from Reagan National Airport is more limited than that for Dulles International Airport, which services a wider array of domestic and international flights.
